AIT ORDERED NOT TO COVER AN EVENT GEN. BUHARI WAS FEATURING

AIT ORDERED NOT TO COVER AN EVENT GEN. BUHARI WAS FEATURING! Well it is obvious that Nigeria has swallowed a frog! Tell me if this is not beginn ing of suppression of press freedom even before the General is sworn in!? We got to this point because the North wanted power shift and fast too aand so Northern hard-liners raised the necessary coercive forces to force a power shift- Boko Haram ! Secondly, after the famed Ojota rallies President Jonathan realized he must do something to make the Nigerias carm down however that means stepping on the toes of the powers that be in PDP. Consequent upon this the president did the agric transformation and disconnected the hose pipe the PDP cabals use to milk the treasury of close to 100 billion Naira on fertilizer scam per annum! Transformation in transport Education sectors also cost the major cabals in PDP a lot however President Jonathan avoided the petroleum sector where the most dangerous cabals were nesting but that didn’t save the president! In no time they formed a second PDP and all that. The fact was that even if it was Lucifer himself that could challenge President Jonathan the escapee cabals were ready to support him. Just make the ranting Jonathan to bite the sweet sweet dust! Back to General Buhari and his order or the order of his party APC they meant the same thing- early sign of possible suppression of press gfreedom and for other television houses Radio house news papers BON that sat back to cover the event and think that it was AIT problem they are committing what we call in mathematics type 2 error! A man with dictatorial mind set has no permanent friend or enemy. If you don’t want him not to breath down your neck you whip yourself into line or get crushed! I am sure that the other members of the media that still sat down to cover the event have made a grievous regrettable and deadly error they may live to regret. How should all members of the press forget so soon what General Muhammadu Buhari did to the media in his first time as a military dictator!? The least expected of other media houses was for them to stage a serious walk-out! To send signal to the General that no amount of suppression of press freedom would be condoned by the Nigeria media either now or later. Without press freedom our democracy is not work writing on tissue paper so any one with canning desire to suppress freedom is enemy of democracy! Recall that when Herr Hitler was dictating it over Germany and later over Europe and finally to the world but particularly over Germany there were British European and American Press that hailed him as a great German leader even up to the point of annexing Chekeslovakia! However well over three thousand Journalists in Europe, America and Germany paid with their lives for their foolish support to Dictator Herr Hitler; not to talk of nearly 60 million lives lost globally because of just one man, Herr Hitler. I have started hearing foreign institutions and local media groups calling on Gen. Buhari to weave the powers around him instead of strengthen the various institutional frame works meant to keep the sanity in the country. The truth is that both foreign and local institutions and media house would soon turn around to regret this! Dictators first conquer self by having high degree of discipline then they progress to conquest of their party to conquest of the institutions to conquest of the entire citizens to finally conquest of the globe! Though they have iron will as regard actions they want to take but they are also cowardly when still resistance is offered from day one. The media houses hove already lost round one as regard Gen. Muhammad Buhari and if care is not taken they may lose more rounds by the time the General assumes the full powers as Nigeria president with the array of apparatus of coercion at his disposal the press will have no chance against this General and if care is not taken let us start now to consider bye-bye to democracy and democratic structures in the country! To be fore warned is to be fore armed.
