Biafra Survival in Soverign Nigeria?

Survival of Biafra from The State of Nigeria?

Before delving into this issue; here are my background and believes:
 a) I am an Igbo man.
b) I believe that Nigeria,  if prudently managed is capable of becoming one of the greatest powers on earth and a great pride to the black race.
C I believe that the only Nigeria leaders that committed all efforts at Making Nigeria work as a nation were only the founding fathers before the first  military coup though most of those leaders  did have tribal stint to varying degrees.
d) I believe that the civil war, the reason for the civil way, the consequences of loss and victory of the civil war created a heinous cabal originally bound on common goal of ensuring that the Igbos never rise again to prominence but with huge oil revenue and nearly 70% of it dumped at the nation’s capital for a few men to spend as they deem fit, a new definition of purpose came for the cabals namely enriching themselves beyond imagination; to the extent that some of them are richer than some states in the country! Rapidly though the circle of cabals grew to include persons from all geopolitics with varying influence and control of looted funds.
e) The cabals having grown in number, power, wealth and influence, I believe that the Nigerian cabals would never lift their hands off the Nigeria treasury.
f) I believe that even if the nation breaks into ethnic fragments the various regional cabals would lord it over ethnic nationalities and continue their looting regardless.
g) I am of the conviction that the only way to make nation work is for a man of courage determination and instrument of state powers to ingeniously think up a way to demobilize the cabals perhaps terminally because who ever that dares to deal with the looting of the cabals would be summarily destroyed by the massive fire powers of the cabals where each of the cabals is richer than some states in Nigeria or even a combination of states!. So even if the nation for any reason breaks into fragments the only way ethnic nationalities can move forward still remains the vigorous confrontations of regional cabals.
h) I believe that Igbo governors have been wasteful of earned scarce resources earned.
i) I believe that the Nigeria cabals though includes many Igbo leaders are deliberately marginalizing the Igbos.
j) I believe that since this is a federation the President of the country has a clear responsibility to ensure that the nation remains one and indivisible state so I expect President Buhari or even myself if I were the President to move in the Nigeria military to restore national unity by thwarting any ethnic group that might want to test the will of the president by attempting any kind of separatism. So it would be a crazy and costly mistake for Biafran agitators to jump straight to confrontation and separatism without laying certain foundations.
Having said the above I believe that no one should be in doubt what is the possible consequences of because of anger and deliberate provocation by the Nigeria cabals to mindlessly jump into serious and vigorous engagement of the Nigeria state. That is the more reason why intelligent, wisdom, understanding, tact, cunning and deft maneuvering should be applied to either get Nigeria work in equity or when the situation present itself to opt out.
The first step is to create a firm bond among all agitating groups in South East and South South. The truth is that whilst the Igbos may want a country of their own, the other South South ethnic groups sure want full resources control. The only Way both dreams are realizable is rock-solid corporation, while the South cannot stand the power force of the Nigeria state the Igbos are effectively land locked but a corporation  of the two may be unstoppable depending on the employment of appropriate strategy . Where this bond between the agitating groups of South East and South South can not be 100% ensured there is no point flogging the Biafra horse it is dead on arrival! However where the forces within the region can team up 100% then this should be the first step in the right direction.
After the agitating groups are firmly and effectively bonded for one purpose then the agitators must do the follow:

a)      have a model of how to run a possible nation

What the agitators must ensure first
having realized the land -locked nature of the Igbo states, the agitators must ensure that the bond between all the groups in South East and South South are strong since both ss and se need each others for survival. In fact it must be clear to all concerned that if ever Biafra comes to fruition that all groups must be equitably represented and taken care of.  Igbos alone in the five eastern states cannot effectively challenge the nig state despite good intelligence and individual wealth. While income per capita of ordinary Igbo man far outstrip that of the other ethnic groups in Nigeria but the Igbo states as is managed now cant produce enough money to run the states let alone single handedly sustain a possible war with the nig state and even it has it is clear the Igbo pack of the nig cabals would sabotage the war effort perhaps that's why Olu Obasonjo says Biafra agitators are rascals or something like that. Finally Igbo 5 core states are land locked and militarily unattainable as regard supply.  In line with this; the following must be seriously considered by the agitators, where the capital of the possible country would be, Igbos can’t insist it must be Enugu, sifting must be well considered and consensus reached, the whole South South and SE should be divided into States as appropriate to accommodate ethnic   minorities, a confederation may be considered With a rotational President among ethnic groups and Vice Presidents representing each enclave etc. A clear blue print of how to develop other resources of the region apart from crude oil should be well mapped out. For instance palm oil which is abundant in the region can be replanted to yield even more than crude oil, since a barrel of red palm oil sells at almost three times a barrel of crude oil. For Instance the Biafra leadership should consider cutting down all wild palm trees in the region and replace them with two of the improved high-yield type to kick start the economic emancipation of the region in a low key phase by phase investment.
b) Investing what ever resources it could gather in the citizens therefore showing the citizens what model to expect other than what the Nigeria state has been offering

h) Convincing the citizens to believe in the model with what ever means that is available that is bonding with the people.(Conquering the people)

Agitators leadership must be disciplined intelligent and understand the games going on. Conquest of the people, the about 500,000 people following Biafra on facebook is damn two small for an enlarged possible Biafra population of about 40'000,000 world-wide same with the number of people that do come out in protest however they are all steps to build upon first instead of rushing to early confrontation with the Nigeria state.. So leadership must do something to take the vast majority of the SE and SS citizens on its side by doing something people can recon with for instance leadership can raise money to give out Harvard scholarships to a hundred SS and SE citizens every year or for once recognize the potential of palm oil to the two regions, a barrel of palm oil cost almost three times that of crude oil and what's more all accrued amount goes to SS and SE citizens unlike
crude oil. Agitators must consider a palm program that is enduring and profitable as well as conserve land resources.

i) persuading Igbo politicians and reps to believe in the model.
As it is vast majority of those who leads the Igbos are personally benefiting from the statuesque and would undoubtedly do all within its powers to thwart any attempt to make a truly federal Nigeria let alone a Biafra! Perhaps Gen. Obasonjo knowing this may be the reason he recently said Biafra agitator are riffraff!  Since Gen Obasonjo believes that key Igbo leaders are part of the Nigeria cabals that is benefiting from the crazy statuesque.(Conquering the leadership)

j) Persuading electable and elected politicians to comply with the model

The right signal would be sent to the rest of Nigeria when you cant even win an election in the south East and South South without pro- Biafra model the next stage is that any one outside the region who wants to win an election in the region must to the very least accept that Nigeria worth belonging to must be one of true federalism and considerable resource control.

K )Run a low key shadow government

At this point the Biafra leaders can safely run a reasonable safe  shadow government when the Nigeria state kept drawing its feet like wet rope with True Federalism and resource control.

l)Wait for Right Opportunity

When the right opportunity present itself proceed to give ultimatum to Nigeria State to run true federal state and proper resource control or risk fragmentation of the state.

m)Run Parallel government

Proceed to run a parallel low key government waiting for Nigeria State  to commit type one error and the become a county.

55 Years After, Nigeria through my eyes.

55 Years After, Nigeria through my eyes

There is no doubt that the earlier Nigeria leaders despite the tribal-inclination dint were committed to the development of the nation with the seriousness that was required and no wonder we had serious progress made by all the regions; though not such an astronomical progress but it was adequate progress. One would have wished that the civil war was not fought but it was pretty obvious that based on the level of distrust and tribal inclination of most of those early leaders it was a question of time before they go for each others throat however the major thing that made the tribal mistrust to have a permenent line was the cross-carpeting in the western house engineered by Chief Obafemi Awolowo after the death of Herbert Macaulay.

Back to civil war and its consequences, it clearly destroyed the Nation and any further hope of building the nation based on what followed thereafter. Though the decitful and cunning Gen. Gowon declared "NO VICTOR NO VANQUISHED!"; the General never meant that because shortly the victors grouped into a cabal meant to enjoy the proceed of the grude oil snatched from the vanquished South East and also to ensure that the South East never again became a treat to the newly established statuesque. That was the birth of the Nigeria cabal, they had no intention of making Nigeria amount to anything and that was why perhaps Gen Gowon was quoted as saying at one time 'That Nigeria Problem was not money but how to spend it!' Almost at about same time the General made the alleged statement Bill Gate was starting his Microsoft Company and 30 years after Microsoft has grown to be a conglomerate approaching the $1 trillion mark, Bill gate has became the richest man on Earth while Nigeria has became one of the most indebted nation in Africa with failing infrastructure!

The sad tell now is that since the seventies to now the Nation Nigeria has never got out of the grip of the cabals and the way it is going unless something drastic happens to the cabals, Nigeria may never recover and may never get to any where especially when the unifying factor oil is getting less and less relevant as an economic power house.

AIT ORDERED NOT TO COVER AN EVENT GEN. BUHARI WAS FEATURING

AIT ORDERED NOT TO COVER AN EVENT GEN. BUHARI WAS FEATURING! Well it is obvious that Nigeria has swallowed a frog! Tell me if this is not beginn ing of suppression of press freedom even before the General is sworn in!? We got to this point because the North wanted power shift and fast too aand so Northern hard-liners raised the necessary coercive forces to force a power shift- Boko Haram ! Secondly, after the famed Ojota rallies President Jonathan realized he must do something to make the Nigerias carm down however that means stepping on the toes of the powers that be in PDP. Consequent upon this the president did the agric transformation and disconnected the hose pipe the PDP cabals use to milk the treasury of close to 100 billion Naira on fertilizer scam per annum! Transformation in transport Education sectors also cost the major cabals in PDP a lot however President Jonathan avoided the petroleum sector where the most dangerous cabals were nesting but that didn’t save the president! In no time they formed a second PDP and all that. The fact was that even if it was Lucifer himself that could challenge President Jonathan the escapee cabals were ready to support him. Just make the ranting Jonathan to bite the sweet sweet dust! Back to General Buhari and his order or the order of his party APC they meant the same thing- early sign of possible suppression of press gfreedom and for other television houses Radio house news papers BON that sat back to cover the event and think that it was AIT problem they are committing what we call in mathematics type 2 error! A man with dictatorial mind set has no permanent friend or enemy. If you don’t want him not to breath down your neck you whip yourself into line or get crushed! I am sure that the other members of the media that still sat down to cover the event have made a grievous regrettable and deadly error they may live to regret. How should all members of the press forget so soon what General Muhammadu Buhari did to the media in his first time as a military dictator!? The least expected of other media houses was for them to stage a serious walk-out! To send signal to the General that no amount of suppression of press freedom would be condoned by the Nigeria media either now or later. Without press freedom our democracy is not work writing on tissue paper so any one with canning desire to suppress freedom is enemy of democracy! Recall that when Herr Hitler was dictating it over Germany and later over Europe and finally to the world but particularly over Germany there were British European and American Press that hailed him as a great German leader even up to the point of annexing Chekeslovakia! However well over three thousand Journalists in Europe, America and Germany paid with their lives for their foolish support to Dictator Herr Hitler; not to talk of nearly 60 million lives lost globally because of just one man, Herr Hitler. I have started hearing foreign institutions and local media groups calling on Gen. Buhari to weave the powers around him instead of strengthen the various institutional frame works meant to keep the sanity in the country. The truth is that both foreign and local institutions and media house would soon turn around to regret this! Dictators first conquer self by having high degree of discipline then they progress to conquest of their party to conquest of the institutions to conquest of the entire citizens to finally conquest of the globe! Though they have iron will as regard actions they want to take but they are also cowardly when still resistance is offered from day one. The media houses hove already lost round one as regard Gen. Muhammad Buhari and if care is not taken they may lose more rounds by the time the General assumes the full powers as Nigeria president with the array of apparatus of coercion at his disposal the press will have no chance against this General and if care is not taken let us start now to consider bye-bye to democracy and democratic structures in the country! To be fore warned is to be fore armed.

Local Kings; Xenophobia, Genocide and Tribal Hostilities in Africa.

Local Kings; Xenophobia, Genocide and Tribal Hostilities in Africa.

The truth is that most of the local kings in Africa are irrevocably tied to the past and vestiges of its primitiveness and rigid crudity! You wont be surprised to know that the only thing vast almost without boundries is just the palaces of the African local kings, however that is where the vastness of modernity ends the brains of those kings are still as that of their primitive ancestors, where killings, wicked idiotic wars and tribal follies are competing for superiority! Many of those kings find it difficult to use a modern tablet or even have an email address let alone a simple internet system! Are you then surprised why they understand little that the world has gone global village! The only thing in their heads is constantly the phantom conquest of other hapless tribes to the extent that most of their ancestors burnt down nearby hapless villages and sold the survivors to their fellow criminals that came from Europe! So many of their offspring still have the blood of the viper flowing in their ancestors in their veins that is why from time to time those vices rear their heads!
Lets check out the Rwanda genocide; it was local leaders (kings) that instigated it and criminally supported by the country leaders! The Hutus who make up of about 85% of Rwanda and also in control of the the nation’s leadership following incitements from the local kings took on the minority Tutsis and Twa and in a twinkle of an eye well over 800,000 Tutsis were mown down ibn cold blood while the Hutusi controlled presidency happily looked the other way! However what perhaps stopped total wipe out of the Tutsi minority was a rare providence when some gallant Tutsi commanders managed to overthrow the crazy Hutusi government and had at lest a bite on the colossus Hutsus who had gave them a raw deal but how many ethnic minority could have such luck from being saved from extinction!? These were all happening while the entire globe watches in shameless docility!
Just recently before a governorship election in Nigeria some where in the South West ; Lagos precisely the Oba of Lagos Oba Rilwan Akiolu 1 was issuing threat to the Igbos ethnic nationalities residing in that city that they would have thousands of their corpses swam up the Lagos Lagoon! Mind you the election in question was not being contested by an Igbo nationality rather the election was between two indigenous Lagosian ! One would then wonder what the Oba would have said or done if one of the candidates were to be an Igbo as it would be sooner or later. It was obvious that kings like Oba of Lagos have enormous resources supplied by the government that any king in his status may practically fund a small private army which they could unleash on their perceived enemy. Though I know that the Igbos never took the Oba’s threats something to fear since the Igbos are capable of defending themselves any where on this earth evident in the result that showed that the opposing party got to the very closest to beating Oba’s preferred party but one may wonder what would have happen if the Oba’s candidate and party lost sure there would have been blood berth!
Right now in South Africa the so called xenophobia is just simmering down but several lives have been lost several millions of dollars of business destroyed or looted and this is not the first time! However this latest one is credited to inciting statements by King of Kwazulu Land, Goodwill Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu not quoting his verbatim “that foreign workers should leave!” and even earlier statement by the South African President that he would do something about migrant workers! This two leaders set the foundation for the perhaps hundreds of lives murdered in cold blood in South Africa. One cant forget so soon how South Africans were warehoused in several countries in Africa when they had their challenge even people like Tabo Mbeki lived for a long time in Surulere Lagos with his family and several thousands of South Africans! Now it is Nigerians that South African rush quickly to destroy their means of livelihood when South African companies like MTN Shoprite, DSTV Standard Chartered Bank and host of other companies are making billions of Dollars here in Nigeria! Instead of the king of Kwazulu land to scale down the amount he squashes on his palace and cronies and then spend it to send uneducated children to school so that they can compete instead of stupid cruelty against equally poor migrants with little more education! It is time that OAU, UN, International HUMAN Rights Organizations and a host of other world bodies take proactive measures to local kings and their utterances and apply stiff sanctions to them before it leads to death of hapless minorities. Where this cannot be preempted the earring kings and all others believed to be responsible for inciting people to kill and maim and destroy should be brought to trial and on conviction should be treated with the strictest international punishment for their part.

Igbos and Yorubas tit-tat and cooporation!

Yorubas and Igbos Long ages of Tit-Tat and corporation! Right from independence there have been some levels of cooperation and mutual suspicion between the Igbos and the Yorubas. I said cooperation because Herbert Mercury worked well with Owelle Nnamdi Azikiwe and on the untimely and unfortunate death of Herbert Macaury, Owelle Azikiwe became the leader of NCNC. On the other hand, after the general election where non of the three parties from North Nigeria, Western Nigeria and Eastern Nigeria failed to win outright majority to form a government Chief Obafemi Awolowo wanted to form a coalition government with Owelle Azikiwe to form a government but I guess in the sprit of his I mean Owelle Azikiwe’s Pan-Africanisim he was pursuing with Kwema Nkuruma of Ghana viewed that too selfish; the two south parties forming a government to exclude the entire north rather opted to form government with the North. This, of course angered Chief Awolowo and later to a tit-tat reaction of cross carpeting of members of Owelle Azikiwe’s party to Chief Awolowo’s party painstakingly engineered by Chief Obafemi Awolowo! That settled at that later when some Northern reactionaries wanted to and toppled Major General Aguyi Ironsi’s government that snow balled into the declaration of state by Biafra and later to civil war Chief Obafemi Awolowo serving a sentence in Calaba allegedly reached agreement with Col Ojukwu that when released he would declare a Yoruba state. However, instead of declaring a Yoruba state he took a ministerial appointment with Gowon’s government and was instrumental in using hunger to force the igbos to early surrender and scuttling of the Biafran state as well as Biafran land, Bakasi ceded to Cameron to help Nigeria block Igbos from getting any food through Nigeria Cameroon border. Today that Bakasi is history as gen. Obasonjo who rarely complied with court decisions in Nigeria speedily complied with judgment of the international court in Hague handed the Bakasi home land to the Cameroonian authorities. However, when same General Olusegun Obasonjo was released after Abacha’s death to become Nigeria President his Yoruba kinsmen rejected him however the Igbos and south south ensured that Gen Obasonjo regains power and supported him for his two terms in office. On the other hand Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu supported President Jonathan to win his first term in office. However, same Tinubu was the man that also ensured that President Jonathan did not get a second term like his kinsman Gen Obasonjo by spinning Gen Muhamadu Buhari from the north supported by the same Gen Olusegun Obasonjo the Igbos and south South supported to do his complete two terms! What a relationship! If it stopped at that it can be swallowed but the Oba of Lagos went a step further despite pushing out President Jonathan out of office to issue threats of death to Igbos who have a choice to vote not between an Igbo and a Yoruba but rather two Yorubas that they must vote for a candidate supported by his kinsman Sen. Bola Tinubu! One wonders what the Oba would then threaten the igboman with the day a political party decides to field an Igbo man as governorship candidate for Alausa mansion!? To close the story for now on cooperation side; despite Sen. Bola Tinubu’s effort two Yoruba states Ondo and Ekiti at least reasonably supported President Jonathan and even the base of Sen. Tinubu, Lagos also reasonably supported President Jonathan! Let’s hope that we do more of corporation rather than tit-tat. God bless the South and God bless Nigeria

Nigeria corruption Index- Understanding President Jonathan’s limited choice

Nigeria corruption Index- Understanding President Jonathan’s limited choice There are only three ways to tackle Nigeria corruption challenge considering its challenge and depth: A) Elimination of all political office holders past and present. I mean former Presidents and present one, former governors past and present, chairman of local governments, all top army, police navy, custom, immigration officers past and present, top civil; servants past and present, loyal fathers etc. There after their assets are confiscated both assets within and without the country. This kind of in-depth fight against corruption can only be executed by a military revolution; though who ever that might want to attempt this method must be ready either to go down with his victims or face the world-wide outrage that would greet his blood putsch and it is also most unlikely that he would get the co-operation of the rest of the world to repatriate the starched away wealth outside Nigeria! However this method would have been the most suitable way to deal corruption a final blow in the country. B) A kind of corruption tribunal set up to arrest, try and jail convicted politicians and top civil servants and of course confiscate their properties! This also can only be carried out by a military revolution! It has an already familiar challenge and that there is the very high probability that sympathizers of the jailed politicians would in no time overthrow the irritating government and not only release the politicians but also restore their confiscated properties! We would have by then returned back to square one! C) The final option is to recognize that the number of people involved in corruption are so high that if you want to eliminate all of them you would do the unthinkable and even if you can convict all of them you need to multiply the number of strategic prisons by at least ten to accommodate all! So what do you do to fight corruption in this type of scenario? you let go all but try as much as possible to block major areas monumental corruption would be carried out and anyone who is caught with good evidence; tried under the law of the land and provision of rule of law applied. This is exactly the approach of President Jonathan; he has blocked the cabals in charge of fertilizer scams and all manner of farm related scams by sending fertilizer directly to the farmers and other measures, he has also dealt with some of the scammers in petroleum sector that since he came to power there is no year that we experience fuel cues during festival and off festival periods as we have had in previous regimes before him. There is virtually no sector of the economy he has not done something to snipe out or at least reduce the scams which would have been going on thereof! Is it surprising while the Nigeria cabals in PDP detested these moves with vehemence and of course the only way to get back at Jonathan is to join the opposition party and try to do a kind of power shift so that they can see what they can salvage! So if you carefully look at the opposition call for change it may actually be true call to revert back to statuesque! Since nearly 60% of the new opposition are from PDP and how one can be calling for change holding broom! You may wonder to sweep what!? You can fill in what ever you think the broom would sweep! Exit of Gen Olusegun Obasonjo out of PDP has spelt the death of PDP-Gov. Kwankwaso! Well they say out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh! You certainly can'rt give what you dont have. It is obvious that Gov. kwankwaso being blinded by the quest of the Nigerian cabals to get back to President Jonathan because of the way President Jonathan deprived the cabals of their continuous looting of the treasury and corruption could not in any way really assess the exit or sacking of Gen. Obasonjo out of PDP! The cabals believe that they can put anyone they like into power and also believe they can remove anyone they put any time they like but most importantly they are the ones that determine how much goes to Nigerians after they had helped them selves out of the nation's treasury! however President Jonathan has effectively challenged this and that is why the members of the PDP that joined the opposition did so including Gen. Olusegun Obasonjo. Speaking of General Olusegun Obasonjo, you recall that the Nigerian cabals spun him to be the president of Nigeria despite the fact that Gen Obasonjo has no political value in the South West to the extent that he failed Presidential election even in his own Ogun State! It only took probably the arranged death of Sen. Bola Ige; if Flayo's unsolicited testimony to Barr. Keyamu was anything to go by for Gen. Obasonjo to make any kind of inroad into South west politics and once he stepped down the whole thing once more crumbled to the extent that his daughter in the senate was unable to win a reelection into the senate! So despite that some people said that President Jonathan is slow to their understanding but he managed to frustrate Gen. Obasonjo out of PDP; he was hoping to be life chairman of the BOT! So in effect the exit of Gen. Obasonjo out of PDP contrary to poor assessment by Gov. Kwankwaso was the ultimate death of the Nigeria cabals in manipulating things instead of death of PDP! in fact what president Jonathan has done implies that from now on Nigerians have been liberated from the shackles of the cabals and both PDP and APC and of course all other parties from now should understand that the only way any one party can remain in power is to perform outstandingly. In effect the so called change the APC is calling for is actually a return to the shackles and wills of the Nigeria cabals headed by key members of the opposition! Igwegbe Lawrence

Letter to my country men and women

Letter to my Country men and women Dear Country Men and Women, Never be fooled by movement of politicians from one party to another; they are not jostling for you they are simply jostling for what they would use to line their pockets! Nothing more! Also don’t forget that actual card carrying members of PDP and APC nation wide are less than 6 million! Don’t mind their propaganda that they have several millions of members! In order word the power to determine who is who is not in the members of any of the political parties it lies with you! Don’t make any mistake of this. On one hand when APC says they are going to ‘wipe out corruption’ you wonder who is the corrupt when same APC field people like IBB that up till today he has refused to account to us what happened to the $12 billion gulf war oil money wind-fall! Senator Bola Ahmed Tinumbu that is believed to own intercontinental hotel that the foundation alone cost a billion Naira and the 25 storey all glass edifice may cost close to 200 billion Naira, he is also believed to own Shoprite that is worth over 300 billion Naira , intercontinental TV , Renaissance Hotel just to mention a few. In the order words if all the Senator has interest in are added up you may be guessing up to perhaps a trillion Naira! Look at this analysis if whilst his Excellency Bola Tinubu was governor of Lagos state and he chose to pay himself N500 million per month as scandalous as that amount is he would have only earned just N48 billion Naira! Now you may wonder how come he owns all that is believed that he owned! Gen Obasonjo’s library in one of his schools is believed to worth over N6 billion Naira! Gen Buhari himself has not told us the any reasonable thing about the $3 billion PTF fund! Atiku Abubaka has also not said much about how he got stupendously wealthy that he even owns a university! I am sure you have not forgotten the Harri Button, Siemens and other high profile international corruption cases and the people involved! So how can these men congregating together now claim they are angelic champion of fighting corruption an intelligent mind may question! When some politicians left PDP to the opposition they said that the reason was that Jonathan signed for only a term and now attempting for a second term! Any person that have his brain where it is supposed to be knows that that reason is only good for monkeys! I may be bold to say that perhaps Jonathan realized that you may need a magnifying glass to be able to pick out who is not corrupt in Nigeria and so instead of fighting it and grind the system to a halt as it happened to Gen Buhari he chose to make it impossible for people to carry out new corrupting in certain sectors of the economy for a start. Example the cabals in PDP that was in charge of perpetual fertilizer scam were downloaded by registering the farmers and send fertilizer to them directly! You recall what these scammers do before were to collect the subsidy the farmers were to enjoy and still add a juicy mark-up to swell their pockets! That some times was not enough for them even some time mix the NPK fertilizer with sand and still sell it well above subsidized price! The cabals in charge of perpetual money apparently meant for rail because even though train stopped running in late eighties yet year in year out whether civilian or military keep allocating money to rail! President Jonathan had thrown those groups out in the cold and fixed the rail and not just that flood the lines with brand new modern state-of-art trains! The cabals in PDP that milk us year in year out by ensuring that shoddy jobs are done on our loads so that each year they same road would be awarded over and over have been shown the door out! You recall for eight years of Gen. Obasojo Lagos Ibadan/ Benin high way was in perpetual construction year after year and yet people spend days on the road while travelling! The cabals manipulating petroleum product importation storage and distribution has been dealt a devastating blow that you may have noticed that you hardly see fuel line up during festivals; the PDP cabals and other in charge of the outrageous wheat importation with cassava flour are at a loss how to keep earning the kind of money they were making before! So if one says that perhaps the real reasons why those characters left PDP and are seeking all means available to kick Jonathan out so that they can continue with their looting that they don’t mind to pitch tent even with Lucifer all that matters is that Jonathan who deprived them of means of drying our treasury should go! Having said these I have to say that it is worrisome that corruption is tearing our treasury to tatters, though I might want to buy President Jonathan’s strategy but more than that the citizens must do something t make it difficult for this bunch of Nigeria politician to loot our treasury. The question is how can we achieve this? It is with your vote! It is power! Do you know why it is easy for corruption to take place without mush stress? It is because we have been stupid to allow one party to control the executive as well as the legislature! If really we are serious of repairing our battered country irrespective of who is there we must ensure that on no account should one party be in control of the executive and legislature! What I mean is where PDP wins the executive APC should be in control of the legislature and where APC is in control of Executive PDP should control the legislature! When this is done both the legislature and executive would sit down to work now that there is no hiding place for any one! With this the development we have in the next four years would triple what we had done in the last ten years! First thing first take out time and make sure you secure your voter’s card PVC Now! Market Fires in Lagos and Survival of Igbos Though the Igbos had been and are still the lubricant for Nigeria economy, the prize for this is rather too much when you take everything into consideration. Who can count the number of times goods and merchandize belonging to Igbos in markets across the country were consumed by fires set up wicked and questionable means even sometimes remotely by some government agents. When these happen it is often difficult to prove without doubt that indeed it was miscreants mobilized by some unscrupulous government agents that are responsible! Lagos in very recent time has indeed become very notorious and the Igbos and Igbo traders in particular have been constantly fed with law deals. You recall when Gov. Fashola started his ‘Eko ni baje’ he and his agents single handedly branded the Igbos as responsible for the way Lagos was looking. From time to time then his agents while demolishing shops of Igbos across the entire states simultaneously would ask if the Igbos could try what they tried in Lagos at Onitsha Bridge! Even the governor was quoted as saying that any one who is not ready to comply with his directives on environment should come and collect an amount from him to enter luxury bus and leave and before he leaves he would be photographed so that if he ever comes back he should be thrown out of Lagos. You have also not forgotten so fast that while Igbo places of businesses were simultaneously being destroyed across the Lagos state same traders werse also arrested and tax of tree years were demanded from traders whose shops were demolished and where you were unable to get the tax you are tried by kangaroo mobile court and sent to jail. I am sure that you have also not forgotten a batch of such jailed Igbos who had just finished serving about four years jail term and Gov. Fashola fearing that media may pick the story and that would be bad for APC, branded the released prisoners street beggars and bundled all of them over night and dumped them at his much refereed to target, Onitsha Bridge! There is information going around that Lagos government has legislated that any property that gets burnt automatically becomes property of Lagos state government even though the Lagos state government had issued previously an CofO for that property! I don’t want to believe that this is true; however you recall that all of a sudden in one night the Tejuosho market was set ablaze and instantly Fashola and his political father, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stepped in and took away the property . After taking several years to put in place what ever they had in their plan they now sell a shop for nearly N2 million! Now it is Balogun Market, we are hoping that once again the Governor would not step in to seize landed properties belonging to Igbos and then build it up and start selling same shops at an amount that he had pre-determined. Most likely that is what is going to happen! The question is what does the government of Lagos have in mind for coming up with the wicked, devious and criminal property law and can you really rule out that based on this law there is a remote possibility that the government could possibly send agents to set any market they are targeting on fire to be able to take it over! Come to think of it, why is it that it is always from 3 to 4 am in the Night that the fires always start!? In the day time when traders are around with a lot of activities and even use of electricity there won’t be fire but when they are gone shot down electric supply that is when fire would gut the market! Like I said earlier in my book, “Niger Delta Agonies of Igbos and other nationalities” the Igbos and other Niger Deltans should realize that the wealth that drives Nigeria for the last 40 years come from South East and South South majorly so why should we shy where ever we are doing business in Nigeria. Igbos should stamp their feet on the ground any where within this country to protect our wealth from rascals and hostile state governments. It is irritating to me that a market where Igbos is 90% in majority an ‘indigene’ would come there and lord it over you! For what reason should this ever happen!? Who the bloody hell is the so called indigene!? The Igbos must stop this crazy aberration and show of uncommon cowardice! I charge you to establish authority in any market you have numerical preponderance within and without Nigeria and not only that use that as a negotiation tool to deal with the governments of those states or even countries. In addition the Igbos must realize that the world is a global village and as such any where you are and have the capacity to do something political; don’t waste time to do something! Finally Igbo traders must organize the day and Night securities in all markets they operate even when the government of that state or country has provided something. The two securities must work together in order to ensure the protection of your wealth and where possible send message of a kind to hostile governments that might want to mess up with your means of livelihood.
