Alh. Atiku Abubaklar, APC and the Politics of Boko Haram,

Alh. Atiku Abubaklar, APC and the Politics of Boko Haram It is no secrete that right from the inception of President Jonathan’s regime that some hard-line elements in the North swore that they would make the governance of Nigeria for Jonathan a living hell! It is also no secrete that the newly formed opposition party has never in clear terms come out to support President Jonathan in stopping the terrorists that have killed and mimed thousands of Nigeria citizens as well as wanton destructions of properties and has delved Nigeria economy a serious blow especially that of the North East. In fact based on what the opposition have said and acted a large number of citizens cannot safely vouch that remotely the opposition has nothing to do with the insurgent. What is more when the terrorist were apparently having upper hand various organs and prominent members of the opposition taunt the President. Some said that he may not have given all the money budgeted for defense to defense up to the point of asking for a possible probe of the President! Some members of the opposition also said that the terrorist are more equipped than our military and attributed that to corruption! The opposition claimed that they are the only ones who have solution as regard how to deal with the terrorists! However just because the opposition has seen that the military has finally showed its muscle to deal with the insurgent, Alh Atiku Abubaka who had prior to now taunted the President and the military along with his party apparently didn’t know what else to do or say instead of summoning the courage to commend the President, he only came up with a miserly statement that he knew that the Nigeria military is capable of dealing with the insurgents! It is however expected that Alh. Atiku Abubakar would promptly revert back to his and his party position if for any reason the fortune of the Nigeria military as regard Boko Haram dwindles! It is my honest advice to opposition and Alh. Atiku Abubaka in particular that why we are desirous of real strong opposition in Nigeria but the opposition must have character and place the general survival of our country above personal and partisan interest at all time. Why criticisms are welcomed at all times but it must be purposeful and responsible. Any party or persons speaking from both sides of his mouth can’t be trusted no matter how the persons or the party tries. We must all join hands and save our dear country instead of employing ruinous opposition tactics.

Nigeria Army’s strategic push Against Boko Haram

Nigeria Army’s strategic push Against Boko Haram For those who do not appreciate the complexities of the drive against Boko Haram by the Nigeria Army they can afford to talk any non-sense about how weak the Nigeria Army is and how Boko Haram has more ’sophisticated’ weapons! Who ever is talking non-sense or show this stupid ignorance simply do not know the Nigeria Army. Have we forgotten so soon during the Liberia Civil war when the Nigeria Navy War ships docked at Liberia Harbor how soldiers from some other African countries in sentries forgot they were on sentries and spontaneously started clapping at the raw display of military technology by our armed forces! Just because of the humane nature of President Jonathan in trying to minimize civilian causalities and other collateral damages limited use of military hard wares in North East were ordered, even not a single use of real heavy arterially has ever been used nor has any single heavy concussion bomb ever used nor has any major application of what the Air force is capable of unleashing has ever been put to use for the very fact that the President is concerned at possible huge destructions in lives and properties. Boko Hara’s push is different from saying for instance that the North East has declared war on the nation. However despite this restraint the President is not going to keep up his patience indefinitely and it appears he has simply ran out of patience! If the Army deems it necessary it could incinerate a large portion of North East in question of weeks but they simply wont do that, however this time around the Army is going to dispense enough shells to give the rag tag Boko Haram at least Ebola fever. I hope that members of the Northern elders forum and some few other irresponsible North groups that speak from both sides of their mouth are already not putting papers together how to drag Gen. Minimah to war crime court as they did after Gen. Ihejirika finished his initial treatments on Boko Haram?

Poor Performance in WAEC and NECO Exams in Nigeria

Poor Performance in WAEC and NECO Exams in Nigeria Aside from long neglect of the education sector prior to President Jonathan who has put in reasonable resources into all tiers of education; educational planners in the federal and states ministries should have a look at these two challenges which I personally believe are bottle necks contributing massively in the under p[performance of our children in WAEC among other challenges:  Inability of students to concentrate, there are so many things that critically distract the students from concentrating in their readings that were not there some 20 years ago! Among them are 24/7 internet and highly exciting social networks, 24?7 music entertainment television both local and foreign, sophisticated telephone sets with a lot of time consuming entertainments and games that students would find quite difficult to disentangle from and so many other things like music competition by big corporations paying out several millions of Naira.  Students’ assessment summersault; think of this from basic seven to SS3 the student is assed based on continuous assessment exams carry about 60% while class work carries 40 marks ! this means that if a child should score 25 to 35 marks in class work it means that even with a 25% score in exam proper the student would still get the mandatory credit even though in the exam proper he or she would barely make a pass which is simply not good enough! So a child may be ‘doing well’ while in class but in external exams the child would sure fail! In the university where continuous assessments are also used it is used throughout and not abandoned at degree exams but the reverse is the case in Secondary school, the child would continue to rely on continuous assessment up till the final time only for WAEC to be based on exams only. This is a crazy summersault that is now contributing to our children poor performances. The way out, either continuous assessment is followed through to WAEC that WAEC exams would only carry60% of the mark or educational planners should as a matter of urgency jettison continuous assessment so that the student should know from day one he would be assessed by exams alone!

Nearly 50% Drop in the Price of Garri!

Nearly 50% Drop in the Price of Garri! When the President stated the dogged drive to reduce the huge amount of money milked away in the name of importing wheat floor for bread by replacing wheat floor with cassava flour it was like he was joking and many thought it was a pipe dream! What was more, , as a result of huge quantity of cassava that had to go into cassava flour for bread bakers price of the steeple food went up to over N600 for a standard measure! I guess our citizens grumbled but the ministry of agriculture and the President stuck to their gun! So when farmers with huge empowerment by the agric ministry realized that there is no going back in reducing the huge amount of money spent on wheat each year tackled the cultivation of cassava and to day the result has began to show. Immediate gains in the renewed energy impute into cassava production include among others drastic reduction in the whopping N635 billion spent on wheat import per year. This will further shore up our foreign reserve and the result among others would be stronger Naira and of course stronger Naira would in turn push up the citizens’ purchasing power and to better standard of living! Second benefit of this drive is even further reduction in the price of the steeple food, garri. Right now the price of garri has crashed from above N600 to between N300 and N380 in Lagos market! This is nearly 50% drop and it can only get better!

General Ihejirika named by “Self styled” Negotiator as sponsor of Boko Haram- APC demands immediate probe!

General Ihejirika named by “Self styled” Negotiator as sponsor of Boko Haram- APC demands immediate probe! It couldn’t have been more amusing and crazy if Stephen Davies had mentioned the First Lady , Patience Jonathan or even Vice President Namadi Sambo as the lead sponsor of Boko Haram ! It is only a crazy pumpkin head that would believe such a trash. Everyone knew that Gen Ihejirika fought the crazy insurgents to stupor to the extent that after the General retired some crazy Northern Elders said they would take him to war crime court! How could he now be named a sponsor of the insurgents!? What is more how come freely roaming insurgents willingly and easily named their sponsor while captured ones are adamant in naming their sponsors!? It is either Stephen Davies is acting out a script or is having some form of arrangement with the opposition to help it, Imean the opposition launder its images regard widely perceived brain behind Boko Haram or both! This is just like the widely believed phantom bomb blast in Kaduna ‘against’ General Buhari. Stephen Davies claimed that he was cotacted bythe government to negotiate the release of the Chibuk girls; lets assume that that is true the question is how could he get a head on with that task by questioning the free loaming leaders of Boko Haram who their sponsors are!? Even if is crazy he wouldn’t go that side and in any case even if he was stupid to ask such a crazy question two things either the Boko haram would not answer him or give him a fake answer! Stephen Davies also fingered a staff of CBN as major way the insurgents get fund transfer ,even before the DSS disclaimed the idiot as a ‘self styled’ negotiator it does not add up that he Stephen Davies should in any way be given access to be messing around with insurgent members already in the custody of the army! Stephen Davies is either working with Nigeria opposition or he has a personal agenda only him understands and the government should make sure that the imposter does not get away with his antics and when ready name all confirmed sponsors of Bioko Haram as extracted from captured insurgents!

Atiku Abubaka ‘Congratulates’ the Federal Government on Control of Ebola but attributes the success to the efficiency of APC governors!

Atiku Abubaka ‘Congratulates’ the Federal Government on Control of Ebola but attributes the success to the efficiency of APC governors One wonders what Alh. Atiku Abubaka meant by this remark. Is he saying that APC states are not in Nigeria or is he saying that the Federal ministry of health would have initiated response on Ebola before the states affected starts actions? Come to think of it if credits are to be given it should first of all go to the doctor at First Consultant that alerted the Logos ministry of health. However one may attempt to even read a more sinister meaning to such a remark considering what desperate men could do. Not many people have forgotten the phantom ‘bomb’ blast against a big wig of the party. Many believe that the so called bomb attack was an arranged one just to divert attention that he and the party should not be accused! With such possible desperation a reasonable mind in considering Alh. Abuka’s comment on Ebola may start to suspect that the Ebola saga may have a remote chance of having been arranged also! Why? Because there is nothing desperate men and women could not do to get to power. One also wonder why the two states that have governors sympathetic to the opposition are the ones that Ebola ‘chooses’ to operate in one after the other. Concerned Nigerians hope this is not true but if it is , I want to remind the hard heads that play with lives of Nigeria citizen to know that nothing is ever hidden under the sun and that souls of Nigerians lost will never forget nor forgive!
