Nigerians be warned against senseless support of mutinous soldiers! We all know the consequences of a wife constantly preventing the husband from dishing out appropriate punishment to the child whilst growing up. When the child subsequently becomes an armed robber and commences on spilling of blood of people the whole family would have realized the consequences of inaction and stupid indulgences. Even the civilians know of the consequences of mutiny in the military let alone the military officers! From day one all personnel of the forces know that absolute discipline is an must to be in the forces and that mutiny leads surely to death. So how can someone in the armed forces know all this and still get involved in mutiny. It is similar to armed robbers know that it is death sentence for armed robbery offenses and still; carry AK47 to go and rob house holds. There is no one in the country that would have forgotten so fast what the military did to this country especially on our journey to democracy. It is this class of military that now get involved in mutiny that may likely once again truncate our democracy whenever there is any kind of opening therefore flushing them out of the armed forces should not be treated with kid gloves or politicized we all will soon pay dearly for supporting elements in military to be subjected to strict military discipline and face the consequences of flouting orders. If any member of the armed forces is tired of the army he or she should resign and go away but if one does not want to resign then he or she should obey commands when ever it is given and as such face the consequences of flouting military commands! The Igbos has a proverb that the hand of the monkey should be quickly taken out of the soup pot before some one mistake it for a human hand! We must not mess around with the military’s disciplinary actions or we risk burning up with our stupidity. Yes, members of the forces are our brothers and sisters but just like a parent he must do what must be done to ensure that his children are disciplined!
