You recall how Herr Hitler and his Nazi party in criminal pursuit of power sent their SA agents to burn down the Germany Reichstag then turn around and blame the German Communist Party which helped to destroy the German Communist Party and ensured Hitler’s accession to power; that may perhaps be the scenario playing out here in Nigeria! Have a look at the events of the last 72 hours: Ø Gen. Muhamadu Buhari wrote his state of the Nation’s letter to the President. Ø Lai Balogun , spokesman of the APC accuses PDP of ‘Demonizing’ the APC of course referring to general perception by all reasonable persons that the opposition may be directly or indirectly using the insurgents either to unseat President Jonathan directly or trigger an impeachment against the President on the ground he cannot handle the nation’s security! Ø Gen. Buhari visited Kaduna, mark you Kaduna and the bomb blast. Ø Gen. Buhari claiming even before security agents finishes their preliminary investigation that he was the sole target of the blast and party actually calling it an assassination attempt! Ø Chief Odigie Oyegun and other opposition leaders visiting Arch Bishop Onaika at Abuja and Chief Oyegun claiming that now the opposition has been exonerated of complicity as regard sits perceived support of the insurgents. Ø Lai Balogun on TVC interview, just last night resumed his attacks on the president as regard the way he is attending to the nation’s security! He actually argued that the one billion Dallas the President was asking for to shore up the army’s effectiveness was unnecessary and that come to think of it that the president has already spent $14 billion since the start of the insurgency and further reasoned that the President should have thrown the whole lot in to create jobs build industries, build schools and whole lot of other facilities simultaneously as the insurgency is going on! Lai Balogun’s reasoning is that such investments would have controlled the Boko Haram better other than a military solution! Even before analysis of these curious developments, I am sure that you would have noticed a palpable desperation by the opposition to make many feel that they simply have nothing to do with the insurgency! It is only you that knows where to pitch your tent I know where I have pitched mine, however if you look at the series of successive and fast events you are most likely going to assume and most probably right that all the successive events were all a series of planed strategy to divert the general opinion! What I mean is that that is a remote possibility that the Kaduna Bomb blast may not actually be just a Boko Haram bomb! It may be a bomb which may have be cunningly stage managed! I hope very seriously that this remote possibility is unfounded. I really hope but one can not but wonder at the curious events to the bomb blast and subsequent events that are still going on. The opposition should not think that Nigerians are fools or suffering from collective amnesia. Several leaders of the opposition have said that they would make the country ungovernable for the President just because the President is not from their party because you recall the comic invitation of President Jonathan to join the opposition. If he had been crazy to listen to the ridiculous call he would have been a ‘progressive’ right now! So since the president did not listen to such call the country is just one step from being ungovernable and what does the opposition expect us to do? To believe that there is any amount of soap they would use to bath to make us believe the opposite. To start with the opposition’s generally perceived quest to use the consequences of the insurgency to perhaps unseat the president has failed and not only that the cost of the insurgency has became quite a colossal amount that if care is not taken it would soon threaten the overall development of the country and what is more who ever that started the insurgent have lost complete control of the hoodlums. In fact as of now even if President Jonathan is chased back to the mangrove swamps of Beylsa it is obvious that who ever that is coming in would sure have a devil of nut to crack as regard the activities of the monstrous criminal group created to unseat the President! My honest advice to the President is that he should do all he can not to under estimate the challenge the leaders of the opposition may possible come up and he should do well to keep keen eyes on all and sundry if he ever hopes to survive the trouble that is on the ground and new ones that will sure arise. This is no child game this is a devilish game and the least danger is destruction! Kaduna blast should be carefully be investigated in details perhaps that might offer clew who is doing what in Nigeria! My advice to the opposition and their leaders is simple; just like they have now said that they have nothing to do with the insurgents let it be so and not only that they should join hands with the President to stop spilling the blood of our citizens as fast as possible and let it be seen by all Nigerians that they are indeed helping but if they continue to do and say what they have been doing and saying as regard this insecurity ever since it started then I am afraid that it would be quite impossible for any sane person to believe that remotely they have nothing to do with this mindless maiming of our hapless citizens and I do not see how Nigerians can ever forget nor forgive this liberal spread of death and misery! It was on record that some governors in the North were massively purchasing weapons, which according to some of them they were to have distributed those to vigilantes groups! Now the insurgents in the North East have become a colossal night mare for the living and the nation in general and a sorry tale for all that have died and numerous Nigerians that have lost heir hard earned properties to the mindless hoodlums! Security is now costing the tax payers close to 25% of the gross budget! Yet just yesterday Gov. Rauf Aregbesola was shown handing over a number of APCs to the Nigerian Police. A laudable move you may take it but what happens to the weapons the Governor bought that he chose not to hand over to the security operatives!? Same questions for all other governors and others buying all manner of light and heavy weapons! The government must put a stop to this in-descrimate purchase of weapons other than the authorized security agencies in Nigeria or in the alternative no weapon should be bought by anybody without authorization by the army, Police and SSS. Where this is breached the governor or who else should be treated as a clear enemy of the Nigerian State and people! The security situation in the country as of now is too charged up and highly unpredictable that no one should be allowed to mess around with any kind of weapon whether light or heavy weapons! Enough of the laxity!

You recall the elongated down tools by all categories of medical workers of all carders including Nigeria medical association then each group was asking for what they felt was good for them including an enhanced pay and other things among them was the issue of Nurses , radiologist lab technicians, pharmacists and whole lot of other medical personnel asking for some sort of consultant status and that any member of the medical field with appropriate status, certifications and requisite experience should be able to play the role of medical director regardless of if the person is of core medical practice. The NMA was part of that strike and knew of the demands of the other Medical officers but they never said anything. They concentrated on their common and general; request and since neither the NMA nor the other cadre of medical staff agreed then to drop any of their demands everyone got what was requested! Everybody went home happy and temporary stopped scores of Nigerians dying in hospital as result of the strike. I guess because of dubious ego, members of the NMA suddenly realized that those they had repeatedly looked down upon could now possibly occupy the exulted position like themselves, they now turned back and started taunting the government that it shouldn’t have allowed the other cadre of medical profession those concessions. The next thing was that the government should reverse to the old statuesque quoting international best practices! The question for our swollen headed doctors is where were they when it was approved!? The implication of this dubious demand is that if for any reason the government reverses to the old status the other cadre of the medical field would down tool and if the government refuses to accede to he request of NMA Nigerian would continue to die in hospital on daily basis as a result of NMA strike increasing the number of deaths accounted for by Boko haram! The NMA is clearly in a dangerous game of blackmail against the government and they should call themselves to order and perhaps discus a common position with the other cadre and get back to the government and if they are not part of the conspiracy along with Boko haran they should as matter of urgency resume work without any further delay! APC Cracks!

APC Cracks! The emergence of Mr. Ayodele Peter Fayose of the PDP as the Governor elect of the state of Ekiti certainly took off an enormous wind of the sail of the largest opposition party in Nigeria, the APC! Despite huge media campaigns both within Ekiti state and the entire south West as well as the huge phantom website that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Gen. Buhari and the rest of the other big wigs of the opposition have been creating as well as the arrogant show that they are the only progressives that ever threaded the little green planet, PDP still took over Ekiti state from them! The people of Ekiti have shown that indeed they are not bamboozled by loudmouthed talks of the politicians nor would they ever again bow to huge media campaigns by politicians. This is a sure sign that Nigerian electorates have evolved! It is time that Governments not only of APC, all governments should look in wards and find out what the populace really want and help the citizenry to achieve what they want! To start with even the other South West States the APC is currently in control now, let the APC not be too sure they would retain them . For instance though Barr. Babatunde Fashola did quite well in infrastructure development but let the APC in Lagos not think that the cost, pain and suffering people went through before those infrastructures were built would to be easily forgotten by the highly sensitive electorates in Lagos now will the electorate forget easily the huge amount of money that Lagos state government stubbornly charge in their state controlled universities. APC should also not think that lagosians would forget quickly the fact that despite the fact that a court of competent jurisdiction had ruled that the toll being collected at the new bridge in Ikoyi is illegal yet Lagos government still stubbornly continues to collect the toll and many other things. Same in Ogun State and the other gentle man, Gov. Aregbesola and his religious biased education drive. Lagos continues to build houses that only commissioners, permanent secretaries, top shots in the civil service and politicians are the only ones who could possibly complete the payment of the house from their honest pay! The lesson for the APC generally is that they should drop this, their myopic and unpatriotic opposition stratergy they have been using ever since the successful registration of the party. Recall that the first show of muscle that the APC displayed was to attempt the filibustering of bills sent by President Jonathan. While that was half digested the Boko Haram issue came up and right up to the abductions of Chibuk the APC never came out clearly to condemn the heinous activities of this criminals used by some reactionary elements in the North to attempt to send President Jonathan to the swamps of Beyelsa State. Even with the sensitive nature of the Chibuk incident the APC played politics up to the involvement of the international interests! Though the APC is claiming that they have already unseated President, they are only waiting for 2015 to come to formalize the process! Though I personally do not know how APC came about this position but they should be mindful that Nigerians would not forget easily the few actions they have taken even outside Aso Rock and that Nigerians are wondering what they would do when eventually they seize power that is if they could. The APC should not be surprised when President Jonathan double his lead in 2015 in comparison to his first election if the APC continue with this their crude pattern of opposition that is not issue based but just baskets of criticisms instead of proving alternative solutions! General lesson for all politicians, is that they should all understand the dynamics of evolution of political maturity of the Nigerian electorates. The Nigerian electorates are no longer ready for frivolous talks and all those crazy maneuvers politicians are used to. They want a piece of serious actions on the part of all elected officials and no matter the crazy media campaign and show of arrogance by elected official if they fail to do what must be done they would be shown the away out regardless of which party the official is from!

Northern Christians be warned- Be aware of possible North Sudan experience! I really appreciate the extreme danger moderate Muslims and Christians in the North face as regard if they chose to speak out against the evils of Boko Haram. However I am appalled that Northern Christians are not speaking out and more so acting out less against the activities of Boko Haram. The Northern Christians must do much more than they are doing at present. Northern Christians in AREWA, Northern Elders forum and other North Interest groups must speak out and act decisively against the domineering influence of the Northern reactionary and divisive elements, whom I strongly believe have high jacked the various Northern interest groups. I also believe that Christians and even moderate Muslims who may chose to speak and act decisively against Boko Haram may become subject of extermination by Boko Haram but the prize of not speaking and acting now would definitely much more than the possible dangers right now especially for Northern Christians! Let the moderate Muslims and Christians not be carried away by the crazy sentiment that there was a gentle man agreement between the North and the South for the rotation of the presidential position. Though this is quite true and desirable however the emergence of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria President was and is never a breach of that gentleman agreement. If Gen Olusegun Obasonjo had died suddenly while in office there was no way that Atiku Abubaka couldn’t have replaced him and I don’t think any Southern would have opposed him to contest for the presidency once he steps in. There are also the crazy talks elevating an ordinary Gen. Olusegun Obasonjo to a deity position that would have or rather that knew that President Yardua would die and so brought him out so that immediately he dies a southerner would once more step into Aso rock!! What an arrant non-sense! Come to think of it those who peddle this crazy and ridiculous talk conveniently forgot to also blame the electorate in Katsina state who elected Yardua in as a governor without which he most unlikely would have been picked for Presidential ticket of the PDP. Gen Olusegun Obasonjo has no such deity power and so couldn’t have exercised a power he does not have. The untimely, unfortunate death of President Yardua and emergence of Dr. good luck Jonathan as Nigeria President were all acts of God, as simple as that!. In fact come to think of it was most unlikely that Dr. Goodluck Jonathan would have ever entered Aso Rock if President Yardua had completed his two terms, Obasonjo did it to Atiku Abubaka despite the enormous help Abubaka gave to the General! So the all in the North has to accept it that Goodluck Jonathan having emerged has the constitutional right to contest for two terms according to the Nigeria constitution! Our northern brother should also understand that if a hasty farmer stands up to dig out his yam and unfortunately the tail of the yam severs off , he the farmer would now spend more time to kneel to dig out the tail! Our Northern brother should not forget in a hurry that from Gen Gowon to Multara Muhammed to Alh. Shehu Shagari to Buhari to Babangida to Abacha to Abubaka is almost 35 years of near uninterrupted Northern rule of the nation Nigeria! That is more than 65 % of the nation’s life span and the heavens did not fall or does our brother in the North felt that this was normal because some Northerners believe that some exclusive section of the North is born to rule! If it is so I advise our brothers in the North to forget those non sense all Nigerians irrespective of where they come from have all the rights to run the affairs of the nation so long as the person have the requisite capacity. The Northern Christians and moderate Muslims should understand that over 90% of the southerners are desirous of a strong and united Nigeria but if the North is of late talking of separatism I believe that all patriots would do all that is necessary to thwart that but even if the nation for any reason tows the part of break up the South would never be the worse of it! So the South is not perturbed of all talks of separatism. Now why Northern Christians must do and act more than they are doing now is that if for any reason the nation is split it is almost certain that it would be hard-line Muslims that would be in control of the North. It is almost certain that Sharia would be the only legal system in the North then and may even progress to barn Christianity totally in the North and you can add up what pains and misery that would be visited on the Christians up north. The Northern Christian should also not put hope in the moderate Muslims that speak out against their hard headed brother they would instantly go silent if the nation should split and even they don’t want to they would be whipped into submission by the hardliners! Make no mistake about this, it would be North Sudan! Now that Southern Christians are helping to fight against Muslim hard liners it is damn difficult you can guess the misery and human degradation that would be visited on northern Christians that would happen if the north goes its way. The Northern Christians should talk more and above all act more for instance I do not expect less than 300,000 Northern Christians and moderate Muslims to enlist in the Nigerian army as regard the new open window for general recruitments against Boko Haram and their supporters in AREWA and NORTHER Elders forum and other Northern pressure groups. Finally I urge southern Christians and moderate southern Muslims not to ever forget our brothers and sisters in the North !

They commenced on a bloody campaign of terror against the helpless German population! They killed, maimed ad spilled blood of Germans as if killing and spilling of blood of German citizens were such a noble thing. What was more rascals, royal to Adolf Hitler even burnt down the Reichistag, the German seat of government all in an effort to meet Hitler’s quest for power. Their slogan was that they won’t let the Germans rest unless ad until Hitler takes over the German Government. However we all knew how that Dictatorial Government went and the trouble it landed the German people into! You recall vividly that during the last general election that some elements in the North, including one of the leaders of the largest opposition party declared that if Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was elected that they would make the country ungovernable and doubtlessly that was when Boko Haram shelved its religious cloak and took up a political cloak! Recall that as the nation is burning some prominent member of the opposition are in different forum are threatening that if the 2015 election is ‘rigged’ that they would ensure that the nation burns, the question is, what moral justifications does the opposition party have to threaten spill of blood of Nigerians considering how the same opposition party’s election or should I say selection went in Edo state, Imo state and other state,? Till date thousands of innocent Nigerians had had their heads severed off, stomach turned open, pregnant women slashed into two and even unborn child slashed into pieces either directly by Boko Haram bombs or AK47, several hundreds if not thousands have been kidnapped, killed or maimed, several properties and thousands of people means of lively wood worth several billions of Naira had been destroyed and just recently over 200 little girls had were adopted in Chibok by Boko Haram and had commenced in meting out human indignity, killings and misery to the victims! What were responses of the opposition in Nigeria? Ø Unless and until , the APC is voted into power i 2015, mayhem may not end and even the spilling of blood of innocent Nigerians will not stop until after three moths! Ø ‘’The opposition also in addition organised rallies or hijacked rallies and here is their slogan; Jonathan bring back our girls!’’ Ø The Nigeria military is have a hell of rough time dealing with the insurgents and allegedly their supporters in the Nigeria military . Here is the response of the opposition: “ there should be probe of the amount budgeted to the military!” “The Nigeria former Chief of Army Staff should be dragged to human right court!” and a hell lot of other crazy and irresponsible talks. Let’s have a look at the first response, what APC is saying, is that indeed they know what should be done to stop the mayhem on thousands of Nigerian citizens but they are keeping it to their chest until and unless they step into Aso rock! However the APC has not realized yet that, they may not have anybody left to rule y 2015 and come to think of it since important leader of the party ,b y his earlier threat, may actually be giving some sort of support to the insurgent and more so considering the allegation of PDP spokes man indicting the same leader of the support of the insurgent. If indeed he step into Aso Rock, he certainly would not need up to one working day to stop Boko Haram from killing and maiming innocent Nigerians if the allegation of PDP spokes man and his earlier threat were anything to go by! The rallies high jacked or sponsored y opposition shouts, preposterously “Jonathan bring back our girls!”. Instead of ‘Boko Haram release our girls’. This is also in line with opposition demand for probe of Nigeria military even before war on insurgent is won. However these two irresponsible calls are akin to a dubious old man who would go into the bush and knock the evil drum, ‘gbamgbamgbam!’ and come out on the main road to ask who was knocking the evil drum! My advice to the President, considering that the amour spent now on security and containing the scourge of the insurgent is now running into several hundreds of billions and all these wastages are mostly in states controlled by the opposition is that he the President should not waste time to deploy full force of the military ad wipe out the Boko Haram insurgent, irrespective of the fact that they may be using innocent Nigerians as human shield! Of course the military should try all tactic ad tricks to see if they could decongest area of military operations of as much innocent Nigerians as possible before any operation but where the insurgents make this impossible then unfortunately what must be done must be done regardless. Of course since Gov. Shetima claims that Boko Haram insurgent is more equipped than the Nigeria military he should or worry himself of possible colossal collateral damages in his state and other North East states. Finally the opposition should not bask in the euphoria that Nigerians are stupid, we are not stupid; by all the body language of the opposition and open statements by some of their leaders it is pretty obvious that the opposition may be dubiously rendering some sort of moral support to the insurgents at the very least in it’s quest to maim and kill innocent Nigerians and I doubt if Nigerians would fail to remember this if there will be 2015 elections!

Though there were other who did contribute to create a movie industry for the country but Amaka Igwe personified all those efforts! Her movies ‘Living in Bondage’ and ‘Rattle Snake’ were trail blazers that kick started NOLLY WOOD. Though an Engineer By training but she had the courage and treaded where many were afraid in a sector people considered a risk investment but today the result is NOLLY WOOD which as it stands today ranks only after few like sectors in the world. In fact it is HOLLY WOOD that it is clear that ranked above Nigeria NOLLY WOOD as it stands right now! What is more following the rebasing of the nations GDP NOLLY WOOD now contributes 1.3% of Nigeria’s GDP! Amaka Igwe alone had written produced and directed close to 100 movies if not more than that! I am not aware that Engr. Amaka Igwe has any national honor, though I might be wrong but even if she has I strongly suggest that she should be immortalized both by the Federal government as well as Enugu state Government. She deserves it. It is time we honor those who honestly helped to build our country while trying to contain the rascals who threaten to destroy our nation.
